Natural Monument of Osaka Prefecture
The large camphor tree is located within the grounds of Okanaka-chinjusha Shrine.
This large tree has a base circumference of 12m, a height of 30m, and branches that cover over 300m2 of the ground.
The tree is said to be about 800 years old and has been designated as a Natural Monument of Osaka Prefecture.
Large Maki Tree
Next to the large camphor tree is a large maki tree. The trunk has a diameter of 1m, and the tree is 25m tall, which is remarkably tall for the slow growing maki tree. It is believed to be about 600 years old.
