In contrast to the official lodging of the Tsunoya family, this location was used a a hidden lodging. With private rooms for high ranking samurai, hidden rooms for ninja protecting their lords, and waiting rooms for Shugo samurai, even now leave a strong trace of that time.
Treasure of Shinnyoji Temple
The Kaizuka Juniper tree is said to be 300 years old, and that it was planted by Tokugawa Yoshimune during his stay.
